About

Built by a trader who needed it.

Option Anatomy started in Montreal with a question its founder kept asking his own brokerage statements: why did my P&L move? The account said up or down; it never said whether the money came from direction, from time decay, from implied volatility repricing, or from luck impersonating a thesis. The tools that could answer that question lived on institutional desks. So he built one.

The tooling gap was just as blunt. Nothing on the retail market connected to several brokerages at once and modeled what you actually held across them. The analysis tools that could model a position properly wanted you to type it in by hand, leg by leg, every strike and expiry re-entered into software that had no idea what was in your account. Re-keying a book you already own, purely to look at it, is not analysis. It is data entry, and it goes stale the moment you trade.

What began as a personal attribution engine, a way to grade every trade against the reason it was put on, grew into the platform here: live positions reconciled against your broker, P&L decomposed into its Greek drivers, a modeler for testing a structure before risking it, and a journal that remembers what you actually did.

Option Anatomy is operated by Convexity Group and built in close contact with the people who use it. It is a small operation on purpose: the product improves because its makers trade with it, notice what is wrong, and fix it.
