Interactive Brokers links directly; most other brokerages link through SnapTrade. Every connection is read-only: it can see your positions and fills, never trade or move money, and you can disconnect any time with one click.
Options only. Option Anatomy analyzes options positions. Stock and cash in a connected account count toward your account values, but are not tracked as positions, and futures and crypto are not supported.
Interactive Brokers Direct
Option Anatomy connects to Interactive Brokers through IBKR's own reporting service, using a reporting-only access token you create once in Client Portal.
Positions refresh about every 2 minutes during trading, so a new fill typically appears within a minute or two. Overnight sessions are covered too.
Account value comes from the daily statement plus live estimation.
The token is stored encrypted, and revoking it on IBKR's side cuts access instantly.
Limitations: not tick-by-tick; updates arrive on the reporting cadence above. First-time setup takes about 10 minutes in IBKR Client Portal (one time only).

Sign in to IBKR Client Portal and go to Performance & Reports → Flex Queries. You'll create two report templates and one access key.
Create the positions report. Under Activity Flex Query, click “+” and name it OptionAnatomy-Positions. Enable exactly these sections and leave every other one off: Account Information, Open Positions, Trades, Option Exercises Assignments & Expirations, Financial Instrument Information, and Net Asset Value (NAV) in Base. Inside each section, selecting all fields is fine, but Open Positions must include the Summary level. Leave the symbols filter empty, set the period to Last Business Day, the format to XML, and the date/time format to yyyy-MM-dd / HH:mm:ss with the semicolon separator. Click Continue, thenCreate, then click the “i” beside the name: the pop-over shows its numeric Query ID.
Create the fills report. On the same screen, under Trade Confirmation Flex Query, click “+” and name it OptionAnatomy-Fills. The period is already Today. In the section picker, tick Execution only. Leave Order and Symbol Summary unticked (order rows beside execution rows would count every fill twice; the connect check detects this and tells you what to change). Selecting all fields is fine. Same format: XML, and the same date/time settings as step 2. Click Continue, then Create, and note its Query ID from its “i” pop-over too.
Turn on the access key. Click the gear on Flex Web Service Configuration, tick Flex Web Service Status and save. Click Generate New Token, set Expire After to 1 Year (it starts at 6 hours; Option Anatomy reminds you before it lapses), leave the IP restriction blank and generate it. Copy the Current Token; you'll paste it into Option Anatomy in the next step.
Paste into Option Anatomy. In the app, open Positions → Connect IBKR (direct) and paste the token and both Query IDs. The app validates everything with a live pull of both reports before anything is stored, so a misconfiguration is caught immediately, with the exact fix. The token is stored encrypted, and you can revoke it any time from the same IBKR screen.

These brokerages connect through SnapTrade, our connection infrastructure. You log in through a secure portal on your broker's own page, and your holdings start syncing automatically.
